Wildlife Biologist Eric Chabot on Birds of Prey, Recreation – Great Wide Open

The eagle has landed! Or owl, whichever bird of prey you prefer. The highly anticipated latest episode of Great Wide Open is finally here to stream or download. Host Lisa Hathaway chats with wildlife biologist Eric Chabot on the breeding needs of wildlife (particularly birds of prey) and the associated springtime activity restrictions that happen on public lands. Eric currently works for the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, and formerly for Hawkwatch International. The duo shed light on the importance of adhering to seasonal raptor avoidance areas. Anthropomorphic alert: they may get a little personal about bird biology. Tune in for a great conversation.
