2026 Earth Day Events & Spring Voucher Program

In celebration of Earth Day, Canyonlands Solid Waste Authority is bringing back the Spring Voucher Program along with several new waste and recycling opportunities! From April 20th to May 2nd, residential customers will be able to utilize FREE disposal at both the Moab Landfill (1282 Sand Flats Road) and Canyonlands Transfer Station (2295 Hwy 191). Along with the Spring Voucher Program, we are also hosting the following events:

• CASH FOR CANS: May 2nd 8AM – 12PM at the Community Recycle Center (1000 Sand Flats Road). Receive $0.25 per pound of clean, liquid and debris-free aluminum cans!

• WASTE TIRE CLEANUP: During the Spring Voucher Program (April 20th – May 2nd), residential CSWA customers can bring up to twelve (12) waste tires to the Moab Landfill. Additional fees will apply for rims, excess tires, or oversized tires.

• SECURE DOCUMENT DISPOSAL: CSWA has partnered with Office Equipment Company (Price, UT) to begin offering free and secure disposal of personal documents at Canyonlands Transfer Station and the Community Recycle Center (located in marked gray bins).

• FireBREAK Swag Bag Raffle: Two lucky Spring Voucher Program participants will receive a FireBREAK bag stuffed with goodies such as a FireBREAK hat, a couple FireBREAK stickers, some native seed packets, and some informational materials!

• PILOT COMPOST PROGRAM: Learn more about our Pilot Compost Program and dispose of your food waste at the Canyonlands Transfer Station for FREE! Opportunities for Founding Compost Partner commercial food waste collection are available!
