KZMU’s 4th annual Youth Rock Camp Moab took place April 11-14, culminating in a performance at the MARC on Friday, April 14. Three newly formed rock ensembles took the stage and entertained and amazed an audience of family, friends and supporters. Souless, managed by Josie Kovash and friends, featured Ruby McGowan on drums, Miranda Marcus on vocals, Ryland Boretti on guitar, Stella McGowan on keyboards and Maggie Wilkowske on bass. The band W.O.L.F. (Warriors of Loyalty and Fearlessness) was managed by Amy Stocks, and featured Haley Aaron on vocals, Sawyer Coelho on keys, Angeles Lemus on ukulele, Amelia Van Sickle on drums and Inga Wilkowske on bass. Tears of Poseidon, managed by Scott Ibex, showcased Nora Moloney on keys, Tanyon Griffith on vocals, Miles Moloney on guitar and Kawika Mersereau on drums.
Thanks to organizer-in-chief Serah Mead, camp director Josie Kovash, co-director Jeff Gutierrez, instructors Peter Nicholson, Gigi Love, Don Casler, Jenna Talbott, Jeff Gutierrez and Scott Ibex, and workshop leaders Gigi Love, Don Casler, Cali Bulmash, Nara Bopp, Jeff Brennan and Chris Canning.
