A late-stage amendment to HB 146 would prohibit Grand County and Moab City from regulating ATV-related businesses. For weeks, the county’s elected officials have warned that this amendment might appear, which they say directly targets the Moab community. If passed as written, the legislation would essentially strip all local 2021 ordinances related to ATV businesses, including requirements related to noise. Today on the news, we speak with county attorney Christina Sloan, who is fighting this legislation.
