By December 14, 2018 No Comments

As Utah’s poet laureate, Paisley Rekdal is advocating for literature and the arts throughout the state. She stopped by the KZMU studios this week and read from her latest collection of poems called “Nightingale.” She also told us about her plan to “map literary Utah” and a new performance piece that puts the workers of the transcontinental railroad front and center. Rekdal’s work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Tin House, and Best American Poetry series and she teaches at the University of Utah.
