Returning Rapids, Changing Ecosystem in Cataract Canyon

*Special Program Alert* KZMU broadcasts full interviews with Mike DeHoff and Pete Lefebvre, from the Returning Rapids of Cataract Canyon project. For the past three years, this duo has carefully documented changes along the Colorado River as Lake Powell’s reservoir drops. Their citizen science work has captured the attention of researchers and scientists, who are now studying the river’s rapidly changing (pun intended) ecosystem. Also in this program – Professor Jack Schmidt, head of the Center for Colorado River Studies at Utah State University, and Seth Arens – research scientist with Western Water Assessment.
