Perspectives of a Hopi Archaeologist

There are not many Indigenous archaeologists working in the southwest, partly because of a troubled past with Western archaeologists.  Lyle Balenquah would like to see that change.  Lyle is a Hopi archaeologist working on ancestral lands on the Colorado Plateau.  We speak with him about his journey into archaeology and what it means for him to be working in these sacred places.  This episode of Science Moab was sponsored by the STEM Action Grant from the Society for Science.
