Music Adds Nov. 22, 2019

(Left) DJ Shadow releases his sixth full length studio album (and first album since the 2016 election), Our Pathetic Age, featuring collaborations with De La Soul, Nas, and members of Wu Tang, among others. (Right) Rwandan trio The Good Ones recorded their third album, Rwanda, You Should Be Loved, on the same hilltop farm where the band’s leader hid for months during the 1994 genocide, reflecting organically in their music the gravity of place, both past and present, and channeling both hardship and resurrection. The trio, comprised of members of Tutsi, Hutu, and Abatwa tribes, formed after the genocide as an act of healing and reunification of the formerly warring tribes. (Below) Immigrant pride and justice advocated for in videos from Angelica Garcia and Che Apalache.
