Veterans Charity Ride participants take a break in Moab
When veterans return home, they often need to heal. Some are dealing with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries, which can make the already difficult task of re-assimilation into civilian life that much harder. One nonprofit organization, now based in Moab, uses outdoor and recreational therapy to help veterans move from a claustrophobic space into the open environment. Today on our extended newscast, we chat with Dave Frey and Keith Helfrich of Veterans Charity Ride. It’s a veteran-led motorcycle journey from Salt Lake to Sturgis, South Dakota. But it’s more than just a road trip. Tune in and learn more.
