Grand County community members are signing their names in support of a referendum on Utah’s controversial new tax reform law. The signature gathering effort began statewide in December, and is remarkably bipartisan. Locals say they’re concerned about several elements in the tax bill, including an increase to grocery sales tax and gasoline sales, as well as income tax cuts that would decrease the potential funding pool for public education. Plus, the race for Utah’s open gubernatorial seat is getting crowded. Tune in.
