Why did the county’s proposed high density housing overlay fail for lack of a second? What exactly are the council members’ reservations? And, what can be done to revive the proposal and get housing for the people who live and work in Grand County? These are just some of the questions that new council chair Evan Clapper asked his colleagues to address during the first meeting of the year. More on that in today’s news, as well as thoughts on a socioeconomic divide between those in favor of greater densities, and those opposed.
