Public works recently identified an estimated $73 million worth of needed infrastructure projects, from capital improvements to major maintenance. In order to address these large-scale needs, city manager Joel Linares asked the Moab City Council to step up the amount of public works projects they fund and complete throughout the year. Also on the news, the Moab Mosquito Abatement District recently trapped Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, a vector for various viral diseases including yellow fever and dengue.
