This week, the Bureau of Land Management sold 135,00 acres of land in Utah for oil and gas leasing, bringing in roughly $7.2 million. Sales of public lands for oil and gas leasing continue to garner protests. Now that the sales process has moved online, climate activists are trying different demonstration strategies. KZMU spoke with two demonstrators from Canyon Country Rising Tide who were arrested last year for criminal trespassing and failure to disperse as they read public comments in a BLM office.
